And Vis & Versa

Olivier discovers scuba diving in Maldives in 1996 with a DSD and renewed the experience several times

In Koh Tao, in 1998, he followed the Open Water & Advanced Courses and spent a few months diving in Philippines

In 2000 he bought his first underwater housing to fit into his Sony camera and started to shoot his first underwater’s footages. He used his free time to explore the dive spots of Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Maldives and Madagascar.

In a meantime, after a carrier in the music industry, radio broadcast and events, he worked for 2 years as manager of the audiovisual media for the web site of a branch of CANAL + TV channel. He gained experience in computer science, practiced a lot of software. The editing became his second passion.

In January 2001 he went to the Honduras for two months to follow a Divemaster professional training.

At the breaking up of Vivendi Universal he took his chance, gave up the audiovisual industry, and invested into the gear of underwater videographer.

In 2002 he followed a training with a videographer of national Geographic during the full summer season. He just realised that he ‘s found his way!

He sold the last current productions and started to work as Divemaster & professional videographer in many places around the world (Similan islands, Red Sea…). He dived and guided a lot, and produced many DVD souvenir.

Since 5 years he’s sharing his time between his different activities in the dive industry, sometimes Tourleader on liveaboard, sometimes dive guide passionated by marine biology and of course as underwater Videographer and photographer.

He shooted a lot of uw footages for himself and started to work on a personal project of underwater documentary, actually in progress.

2006 was a productive year as Olivier passed his Open Water Instructor examination with success and became quickly Master Scuba Diver Trainer, teaching specialities linking to underwater picture or video as Underwater Photographer and Videographer Instructor.

He's also registered his company named Submerge. He provides underwater courses, imaging specialities courses and audiovisual production.

His goal is to teach this underwater specialities as well as the linking computer science, providing funny and passionated courses based on immediate experience in diving and mastering software. This allows every one to highlight the fix or moving images taken.

Olivier's 2008 step is to manage audiovisual workshop on liveaboard for underwater's videos and photos lovers.
